Understanding the Escrow Protection

When you place an order, the seller crypto is frozen in an escrow account. Even if the seller does not actively release, they cannot move those coins. As long as you genuinely paid, you will eventually receive your crypto.

Step 1: Confirm You Marked the Payment

After paying, you must tap "I Have Paid" in the order page. If you forgot, the seller will not see the payment notification. Check if your order status shows "Paid, Pending Release." Also note the payment time limit (usually 15 minutes) - if it expires without marking payment, the order cancels automatically.

Step 2: Wait and Contact the Seller

Give the seller reasonable time (15-30 minutes). Many sellers are simply away briefly. Send a polite message through the order chat to remind them.

Step 3: File an Appeal

If the seller remains unresponsive, tap "Appeal" on the order page. Provide payment proof (bank/app transfer screenshots showing amount, recipient, and time), and any chat history. Binance support typically responds within hours. The escrowed crypto remains safe throughout, and if your payment is confirmed, Binance releases the coins to your account.

Special Situations

If the payment amount does not match (e.g., bank deducted a fee), you may need to pay the difference. If you used a payment method not matching your verified name, the seller may rightfully refuse. Never include crypto-related keywords in payment notes - this can cause the seller bank issues and order complications.

Prevention Tips

Choose sellers with high completion rates (98%+) and fast release times. Start small with new sellers. Use instant payment methods rather than bank transfers that may be delayed.
